Before baby, you felt like things were in order and you could do it all. You enjoyed working, spending time with friends, traveling, sleeping, and brunching for fun..but motherhood, motherhood is turning out to be very different than what you imagined. It’s not looking like those glowy Instagram photos, everyone you know is giving you advice about what to do and when, and it all feels incredibly overwhelming. Most days you struggle to keep it together; even the little things like being able to take a minute to eat or go outside for a walk have been difficult since baby arrived.

These days it seems like the only place you can get a break is to lock yourself in the bathroom and allow those tears you’ve been holding back to finally fall. No one knows that you’ve been feeling worried, sad, angry, fearful, doubtful, and maybe even hopeless on a level that you’ve never experienced before.

Maybe friends and family have told you “just don’t think about” your feelings, or to be “thankful” that you and your baby are healthy, but you know that the guidance you need is more than that.

Whether you’re trying to make sense of a traumatic birth, need help in navigating your new role as a birth/adoptive parent, or just don’t feel like yourself lately it’s helpful to seek support from a professional who understands the perinatal period. No matter where you are in your conception, pregnancy, or postpartum experience, our work together will happen in a safe, compassionate, genuine space. Treatment will be tailored to you and your needs [no cookie cutter approach] and you’ll learn tools and strategies that you can utilize not only now, but throughout your parenting journey.
